General Disclosure
Closer Capital is a commercial finance broker and does not directly provide loans. We work with a network of lending partners who make the final lending decisions. Not all applicants will qualify for financing, and loan terms vary based on creditworthiness, business performance, and other factors.
Licensing and Registration
Closer Capital operates in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. Our lending partners are licensed in the states where they conduct business. License numbers and registrations are available upon request.
Credit Authorization
By submitting a pre-qualification or application, you authorize Closer Capital and its lending partners to:
- Obtain your personal and business credit reports from one or more credit bureaus
- Verify information provided in your application
- Contact you via phone, email, or text message regarding your application
- Share your information with potential lending partners
Pre-qualification inquiries typically result in a soft credit pull that does not impact your credit score. Full applications may require a hard credit inquiry.
APR and Loan Terms
Annual Percentage Rates (APR) and loan terms vary by product, lender, and borrower qualifications. Representative examples:
- Lines of Credit: APR typically ranges from 12% to 45%, with terms of 6 to 24 months
- Term Loans: APR typically ranges from 8% to 35%, with terms of 12 to 36 months
- SBA Loans: Rates based on prime + margin, with terms up to 25 years for real estate
- Equipment Financing: Rates from 6% to 30%, with terms aligned to equipment life
Actual rates and terms will be provided in your loan offer and are subject to final underwriting approval.
Fees
Fees vary by lender and product. Potential fees may include:
- Origination fees (typically 1% to 5% of loan amount)
- Underwriting fees
- Processing fees
- Late payment fees
- Prepayment penalties (if applicable)
- Wire transfer fees
- Monthly or annual maintenance fees (for lines of credit)
All fees will be clearly disclosed in your loan agreement before closing. You are under no obligation to accept a loan offer.
Representative Example
For a $100,000 term loan at 15% APR over 36 months, the monthly payment would be approximately $3,466. Total amount paid over the life of the loan would be approximately $124,776, including $24,776 in interest. Your actual terms may differ based on creditworthiness and other factors.
Collateral and Personal Guarantees
Many commercial loans require collateral (business assets, real estate, equipment) and/or personal guarantees from business owners. Failure to repay may result in the loss of collateral and personal liability. Specific requirements will be outlined in your loan agreement.
No Guarantee of Approval
Submission of a pre-qualification or application does not guarantee approval or funding. Approval is subject to verification of information, credit review, and final underwriting by the lender.
Broker Compensation
Closer Capital may receive compensation from lenders when you close a loan through one of our partners. This compensation does not increase the cost to you and does not affect the terms of your loan. Our compensation structure allows us to offer our services at no upfront cost to borrowers.
Advertising Practices
All testimonials and reviews are from actual clients. Results stated may not be typical. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Statistics such as "3,000+ entrepreneurs funded" and "$250M+ in capital" are cumulative totals since inception and are subject to verification.
Fair Lending Notice
Closer Capital and its lending partners are committed to fair lending practices and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, or any other protected class under federal or state law.
Right to Cancel
Depending on the loan type and your location, you may have a right to cancel your loan within a certain period after closing. Specific cancellation rights will be outlined in your loan documents. For owner-occupied residential mortgages, you generally have a 3-day right of rescission.
Electronic Communications
By providing your email address and phone number, you consent to receive electronic communications from Closer Capital and our lending partners regarding your application and related services. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
